we are racing towards the future
full speed ahead
from the time the sperm wiggles into the egg
9 months of resting without worrying
absorbing strength growing without knowing
what we will face
when we face the light and scream
suckle and grow
learn to craw;
learn to walk
learn to talk
learn to read
learn to play
learn to learn
Plan those book reports
study for test
try out for teams
learning to win and loose
and learn to choose
the many choices that life gives
We learn how to race towards the future
The older we get the faster we move
the more focus the goal
We learn to love
we learn to hate
we learn to copulate
We learn to dream
and fantasize wealth
fantasize our ego growing
without knowing where it takes us
We acquire homes and wealth
travel the world
create a family
develop friendships and bonding
Live the life
See children mature
satisfy your wildest dreams
or accept disappointments
downsize, loose love ones
start to loose ones health
then memory
then return to the earth
The trip is finished
the race is over.
