SINCE KATRINA, THERE HAVE BEEN MANY HOMELESS IN NEW ORLEANS...THE 8 PEOPLE WHO WERE KILLED IN THE WAREHOUSE FIRE, VERY WELL MIGHT BE VICTIMS OF KATRINA......WHILE, WE SPEND BILLIONS OF KEEPING A HOPELESS WAR GOING, THAT BANKRUPTED THE COMMUNISM REGINE OF RUSSIA, WE CANNOT FIND MONEY TO REBUILD OUR OWN CITIES, AND PROTECT OUR OWN PEOPLE FROM THE ENEMY OF HUNGER AND HOMELESSNES.
WHILE WE HAVE TO REMAIN STONG MILITARILY, WE DO NOT HAVE TO PAY HALEBURTON TO RUN THE WAR FOR US AND PAY THEM BILLIONS AND BILLIONS OF DOLLARS, SOME OF WHICH CANNOT EVEN BE ACCOUNTED FOR.....I WONDER HOW YOU CAN LOOSE A FEW BILLIONS DOLLARS??? DOENST SOUND VERY KOSHER TO ME.

SITITNG HERE WAITING FOR THE BLIZZARD, XMAS EVEN AND DAY

SITITNG HERE....WAITING FOR THE STORM TO START....WITH A PROMISED 8 TO 16 INCHES.....ANOTHER DAY OF DEAD BUSINESS...XMAS ON A SATURDAY IS A BUSINESS DEATH SENTENCE.....we had the very worst "XMAS EVE " in the history of my store" EVERYONE IS AT THE ALL..... socks ,shirts, undewear and electronics.....
Then Xmas EVE..my wonderful friend BARBARA had her annual Holiday party.....her house is Victorian, some of th ewalls are painted read...filled with mirrors, fireplaces tat were burning, candles, lots of mirrors....all the rooms decorated with swags of pine, red ribbons and bows.....and candies, and fruits and nuts everywhere.....a pastry table with a dozen different choices was a high caloric decoration and in the middle of it was her annual XMAS PUNCH...with sorbet, blueberries floating on top.....and it was delicious ..Two glasses and on eis in orbit!!! The food was obscene!!! Unlimited giant shrimp cocktail.....Italian pasta with chrimp, home made sausage and meat balls and two types of pasta dishes....hummus.....tuns, crab, and other dips, drinks...and on and on and on...I was so full, I crashed on the sofa....I awaoke in the morning and had pancakes and bacon......a very good XAMS... The warmth of all her friends and assoicated radiated thru the house..Everyone was friendly, except one beautiful but very jealous girlfriend of one man at the party......she hid in one of the bedrooms, taking notes on all the gifts..(didnt make sense) later on she hit another woman with her pocket book,,,,,when she gave her business card to her boyfriends..who...had a business relationship(and nothing more) to discuss....This same jealous woman....has a daughter who has been committed twice to an institution.....once was for trying to attack her with a kitchen knife......which who knows, might have been diserved? It was a mini soap opera.
The snow has started......about 20 min utes ago..and soon, we will be blanketed with white......We already lost a few weeks of business, due to XMAS..Everyone was at the mall...then We lost Saturday for XMAS itself, today SUNDAY, and I am sure tomorrow MONDAY will also be a lost day...The business this years ahas been probably the worst in history.
After haring about"THE MANOR" IN WEST ORANGE FOR MOST OF MY LIFE... I finally got the opportunity to go there.. We partook in the XMAS buffet....The building is like a real ENGLISH MANOR>.....inspired catering hall. The walls were paneled walnut with carvings....the furniture mostly real antique marble top and inlaid furntiure....French Gilded curios..with chachkas in it....Built in and illuminated cabinets with glass and china being shown off in all its glory. Reall oil paintings, Venitian and gilded mirros.. suprer elegant silver serving pieces, chafing dishes.......a huge life size ice carving of three reindeer and a sleigh.....three huge gingerbread houses that were edible....the the eniture place was decorated for Xmas...with many trees, the entre place swagged with ribbons and bows, and pine tree ropes.......
Sometimes people can get just too elegant. The served caviar in a container made of ice...it was the size of a brick, and then one side came up 8 inches over the brick....the caviar sat in the brick and the entire ice container lite up. Not sure how they did it..it glowed..there must be a batter powered lite inside the ice brick...it was amazing looking...but the price for the must have been almost as amazing......and caviar....i have had the best..and still i wasnt impressed. it was still fish eggs....and tasted a bit fish...with onions, and egg..on some kind of special bread..and downed with a bit of RUSSIAN VODKA. a friend of mine has acquired a large can of IRANIAN Caviar....i think she said it was then 400 bucks..and we ate it all. It was ok, although, this may make me sound like a peasant.....I would rather have had a good pizza. In 20 minutes....what ever magic is within the caviar...I found my self running to the bathroom......the fish eggs had the same properties as a laxative.....thank you very much...from here on in, i will not eat caviar ever again!
Now on to the buffet... OYSTERS....unlimited....and I love them. Unlimited large shrimp cocktail..all kinds of seafood salads.....Lox , two different varieites.....Paiella with lots of real lobster, sea food NEWBERG with real NEWBERG(shrimp,scallops and lobster, Sea BAss rolls filled with lobster and shrimp....sushi, and many kinds of other salalds,veggies, GREAT creame of Mushroom Soup, Lobster Bisque...an ITALIAN table filled with Veggetarian casseroles.Eggplant rollatini, tortellinas,,etc.....rack of lamp, roast beef, ham, turkey, Chicken florentine,All types of green salads and dressings, veal meat balls, short ribs of beef,.....and so on and so forth.....untill....looking made you more full....later on when I could not take another bite, they came out with an entiure poached salmon covered with mayonaise and dill.......and that is one of my favorites..but unfortunately, it came out after I finished dessert.
Speaking of desserts.....there were three tables filled.....the best of all was the home made raspberry and lemon sherbert....and as pretty as all the cakes and pastries and creme filled things, and flans, pies, etc.. I somehow was either too full, but i didnt really appreciate the tastes....they had a tureen filled iwth hot bread pudding and another filled iwth hot apple compote.....none of which overwhelmed me.. There were lots of little pastires with fresh fruit in them of all different kinds.....I tasted a few...but I devoured the ices...
Everyone was complaining they ate too much.....I wonder why.....we pay a lot of money to go and eat and then leave uncomfortable/ i guess its human nature...we love the taste of good food, we desire an elegant place, and because its delicious and unlimited..we tend to stuff outselves to get the most value...and it taste so good. Now i understand why at the ROMAN BANQUETS in the time of the Cezars they had a room called the VOMITORIAM....where people went to throw up....after they over ate..so they could go on eand eat more and more and more...
What is not mentioned..is the room they went to, after they had their ROMAN ORGIES, othe ORGASMATORIAM, where they went to recharge their batteries....
I had cooked for and advertised a buffet for today.......to get customers to come shop. I cooked Hungarian CHICKEN PAPRIKASH, Indian Butter Chicken......and was going to make Raviolis in homemade sauce, and hard boiled eggs in a homeade Tarragon/Dill mayonaisse...and a few other things, but the headlines of an on coming storm........I only prepared the first two chicken dishes.....I thought that no one owuld come at all and taste my delicasies..but there are a couple here now who did eat the food..and liked it.....

My expanded ideas about running for president..has taken a slight new turn. If I can get help, not only will I produce the presidential CAMPAIGN, as if it was real....(well it is real, and if by some insance twist of faith, it actually happened, I would accted the job....but with a budget on ZERO, and only the internet...to start off.....it is unlikey I will get more than noticed....but life is strange YOU NEVER KNOW!!!

The above two sentences are "cut and paste" from an article from AOL...about theives stealing ten percent of MEXIOS OIL...and two TEXAS oil company officials were only given probabtion for stealing millions of dollars in oil? What the hell is going on here......they must have had political intervention....TEXAS and OIL..HMMMM the BUSH family..... Take a kid form the ghetto, and he steals some stuff from a grocery store...he might get hard time in jail......or maybe probation if he is lucky. YOU CAN USE AS IS OR ADD CHOPPED FRUIT OR NUTS, OR JAM, THEN SMEAR ALL OVER THE PANCAKE AND ROLL UP. SPRAY WITH WHIPPED CREAM FORM THE CAN OR YOU CAN MAKE AN INTERESTING SAUCE.....FROM CANNED CHERRIES, APRICOT FILLING(CANNED) APPLES, FRESH OR CANNED. OR ANY FRUIT.... BEAT THE FRUIT WITH A SPOON FULL OF BRANDY, SUGAR IF NEEDED...HEAT AND PLACE ON TOP OF THE PANCAKE.....YOU CAN ADD SOME MORE WHIPPED CREAM ON TOP. What I ask....should these high speed and dangerous chases be allowed to continue...gun battles can also come out of these.....NO!. A stolen car can be recovered and insurance pay the owner.....that is a better way to solve a situation like this.....Many people get killed in cross fire....and a life is worth more than a car. YES the man is a criminal....but common sense says these chases are ok on television..not in reality....(just an opinion)

On Ocean Parkway in Brooklyn, police found 4 bodies in one area.....on the news..now into the fourth day..A police spokesperson on the radio said that, the bodies are not that of a missing NJ prostitute...and its possible, the bodies are unrealted to each other and its a coincidence...(yeah right) 4 bodies in one spot and its a coindicence) Next the police might say that the EASTER BUNNY might have left them there....Please...4 bodies...in the same spot...and its NOT A SERIAL KILLER?"

In the recipe department...here is another crazy lower calorie soup I made last night....filling...and not too fattening.. Can of string beans, large can of diced tomatoes, one can of tomatoe paste 1/4 cup or less of Red Wine VInegar, carroway seeds, tyme, basil, one chopped onion(large) cup or more of any kind of lettuce, salt and pepper, Worstershire Sauce to tase..... a little lemon rind grated, 1/2 cup chopped celery....and as much fresh garlic as you like!!!! Simmer for an hour.....ENJOY Its tasty filling...and low on calories. YOu can eliminte the green beans to make it less caloric...

In the NEW year, when I start my Campaign for PRESIDENT...running against SARAH PALIN.....I might shave after 40 years....wear a suit and a tie...and look more respectible.(GOD FORBID) and although, I dont expect anything more than controversy, maybe a scandle or two.....I will beable to get my ideas across, which really are not that radical at all....
I am reading the news all the time....and process the information in the portein based computer in my head... what is needed in the country (or the world) Part of it is just plain logic.... The simple basics: Food, Shelter, Medical Care....and how we can improve those three basics. But its not simple....It is very complex. Take food for example.. Mega corporations have taken over farming. They have created their own seeds and patented them...so other s have to pay dearly for them. They have created seeds that grow plants..that have not seeds that can be replanted...there fore FARMERS WORLD WIDE, have to buy fresh seeds the following year, rather than use a portion of their crop for seed for the following year. This has caused many farmers to go out of business, for they cant afford seed every year..WHen they go out of business, the large foood conglomerated, buy up the land....and then, can raise the price of food staples...making it harder on the poor to EAT..
THen they grow food that has been genetically altered....to look good, but not be tasty and healthy.... They have a longer shelf life due to the ading of genes from other species....and now add pesticides......that give cancer.. and the food problem, enters the health problem.. So the two of the three basics are related.
As PRESIDENT I would want to protect our people, not only from harm of terrorists and other invading countries, but protect our people lives (health) from Geneticists, Chemical Companies,and Food Conglomerates, whose intention is large profits, regardless of human cost. I do not think any of the above is the least bid radical, unless you have great stock investments in any of the companies involved!
I would strenghten the powers of the FDA, and have them overseen that they are doing their job and work tandem with the a FEDERAL BORAD OF HEALTH.
I would give grants so that pesticides that are NONE HARMFUL to humans be delveloped. ANd check into the legality of "patenting" of genetic engineerd fruits and veggies" ANd I would develope a NATIONAL FOOD BANK, to help local food banks...feed the very poor.
In the nxt two years, I will be crating research committes, on hundreds of subjects that I will be discussing. What I amight accomplish is opening up the eyes of many people....Winning is out of the question.....pure fantasy....but educating...isnt.

At the home depot.....i notice a small microwave on sale for 39.99...Thin plastic..and remeber that there is somethng about microwaves that are dangerous...was it some kind of radio-activity, or were the waves just damaging to humans.????HOW in hell can anything made well and safe..and mechanical be made and sell retail for 39.95? the best scenario is that if it is safe, which i doubt...is that it just will break in a month or two......if it has a guarantee...it proabbly will not last until the guarantee is over....and the company will be out of business.

AND NOW FOR SOMETHING DELICIOUS TO EAT: A RECIPE FOR AN INDIAN LAMBURGER!!!

GO TO THE BUTCHER AND GET LEAN GROUND LAMB GROUND ....JUST ADD SALT AND PEPPER AND A BIT OF GARLIC POWDER TO TASTE.... THE BEST TASTING ONESWILL BE OVER A CHRCOAL FIRE, BUT IF IN A PAN, PLACE IT IN WHEN IT IS VERY VERY HOT, SO AT LEAST ONE SIDE WILL BROWN ALMOST CRISPY, TURN, AND COOK OTHER SIDE UNTIL IT REMAINS PINK AND A LITTLE JUICY ON THE INSIDE. (alternate spices...add dry dill mixed into the burger,mint, basil...) but its delivicous just tasting like lamb!

To make a great and quick INDIAN flavored sauce.... saute an onion in peanut or canola oil till soft,,one clove of garlic,and teaspoon of curry powder(to taste)
tablespoon of chopped parsely..then when onions are soft, ad a can of undiluted mushroom soup,(you can subsitute cream of Asparagus,celery or cream of chicken if alergic to mushrooms)..stir...you might ad a little water if too thick.

Use burger roll, or a rustic grain bread. Drainburger on brown paper to get off grease..place on bread and add sauce. Serve with a side order of cucumber salad with yorgurt. : Peel a cucumber, dice, salt..let sit for half hour,squeeze to drain of liquid....add plain yorgurt, cardoman seeds,or dill or mint..salt and black pepper...let marinate for an hour or two before serving...

The three lights, that are in the middle row of lights in our gallery, have burt out 6 months ago. None of them have gone on....not a flicker. But today, without notice, one of the dead lamps hat hang above the gallery, suddenly was on, glowing as brihgt as ever. There is no explanation. We were told, both the bulb and ballasts were burned out. SO how cold one of them suddenly go on. Well Its Hanuka? Can we start some new holiday ritual becuase of this. ? I am sure, the so called miracle of CHANUKA, or how ever you want to spell it has some ligical explanation.....just as the light going on after 6 months must have some logical explanation...unless
Thelight going on is some positive sign from the MAIN MAN, from the GODS....or the Great Spirit. I am a cynic.....an agnostic.....but, I am oing to make belive that the sign is a positive one from above and things will get better.

Towards the end of the business day, a man entered...very friendly ...asked some questions....immediately said that he would buy a Waterford bowl. He soon opened up and said that he has a date coming...a wonderful woman that he met onLINE.....on Match .com......we talked some more and soon, the DATE entered...a customer of ours, who thought GRANNYS would be a great place to meet. To me, this was a personal compliment....she asked for BUDDY DOG...who already went home with JOHN.....
So Grannys just might be the begining of a great relationship between these two people. .....they eally seemed good for each other.....so a Blessing on their head...Mozel tov Mozel tov. So romantic.....I love it.

New recipe...Sweet and Sour String Bean Soup..An old Hungarian Recipe...that I just invented..... Simple and quick.tWO vEWRSIONS..FIRST IS VEGTARIAN
1)open up one can of string beans....Drain liquid. Chop strings beans up a bit and return to liquid..You can use another equal amount of water or milk. aDD TWO VEGETARIAN BOULlION CUBES... Add a few pinches of garlic powder, 1/8 to 1.4 teaspoon of celery seeds, 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg...(or you can use half teaspon of caraway seed-instead of celery see) tablespoon of sugar or Spenda (or to taste) then apple cider or wine vinegar to taste...depends on hour sour you like it...simmer but do not boil...for about ten min. You can add a tablespoon of finely chopped onion, and tablespoon of chopped parsely......after ten min....add tablespoon of cornstarch to two tablespoons of sour cream....mix and then add slowly....to thicken......

vERSION twO, USE CHICKEN OR BEEF BOULlION AS BASE INSTEAD OF WATER AND MILK.....

OTHER SIMILAR SOUPS YOU CAN MAKE: USE CAN OF CARROTS,SLICED POTOATES. BEETS, ETC. SWEET AND SOUR SOUP. AND IF YOU HAVE TIME...USE FRESH VEGGIES....
