i AM IN bedapest today

lAST NIGHT WE WENT INTO TOWN...FOR DINNER....BUT A GIGANTIC POLIC PRESENSE, ALONG WITH AMBULANCES, POLICE DOGS, TANKS, RIOT GEAR...GAVE OUR BEHINDS A BAD SQUINCHING, AND WE WENT TO A DOWNTOWN MALL INSTEAD....IT TURNS OUT, THAT THERE WAS NO REVOLUTION IN PROGRESS, BUT THE POLICE WERE CALLED OUT TO PROTECT THE GAY HUNGARIANS...WHO WERE HAVING THEIR ANNUAL GAY PRIDE PARADE.....OVER 1000 NEO NAZI, SCREAMING THROW THE FAGS INTO THE RIVER AND THEN THE JEWS) WER SEPARATED BY A WALL OF RIOT GEAR POLICE MEN.....THE NAZIS ARE A LIVE AND WELL IN HUNGARY, BUT THE GOVERNMENT IS OUT TO PROTECT THE INNOCENTS. THE CHURCH, DOES AD DFUEL TO THE FIRE WITH THEIR CONDEMNATION, WHILE THE PRIESTS FEED ALTER BOYS STUFFED CABBAGE AND THEN MOLEST THEM....hmmm I AM JOKING......

TODAY, as my freind Susan studied for her exam tomorrow for her MAsters Degree...Frank and I and her boy DONNY, went on a trip into the mountain...to a town, that has been restored to its original look in the 16 and 1700;s The roads in the town, are like the Roman Appian way, paved with stones...and all the buildings have been restored....wood with plaster(stucco) white walls. The name of this town HOLLOKO,,which means RAVEN STONE....named after the Castle, whose reamains adorn the top of the mountain...and is being restored. Originall, the castle was built in the 12th Century.....and below, the town evolved. We went to one restuarant, whose menu was more gourmet than most gourmet American Restuarants....and the prices were more like MC DONALDS. We only had a "pot" of soup...a traditional food of that town...Made of pork, pork broth, pieces of very tasty pork, sour cream, paprika,onion..and spices...served with REAL thick rye bread....all for under 500......it was a meal in a pot they had wild roast boar, in many different styles all under 9.00,Hungary boastgs many restuarants whose owners go into the bushes and kill these hairy, dangerous tusked wild boars,......and although not KOSHER.who cares.
I had 5 hours of layover.due to bad wearther...and people not showing up for their flight, and their luggage has to be removed from the plane before we took off.....just incase they put a bomb in it....which took an hour or more, while sitting in a hot plane of the tarmac.
Luckily I met two interesting guys,also waiting for their flights to GERMANY.....many hours late due to huge thunder storms....in the Eastern USA.....Of of them seemed like a typical Republican , corporate man.....28..works for a fiber optic company...and has been all over the world....he was on his way to DUBAI, but has been all over the world in places, I might not feel safe.....He was drinking wine spritzers for hours, but his political views were quite different than I expected. We both thought alike!!! The another man, also in his 20;s who lives and eaches in NEBRASKA...was on his way to Lebanon to see his family. Although a MUSLIM,and eats HALAL...he is still seemingly a very moderns man, and is not Anti JEWISH,anti American.. He like me and other who think as I do, are anti war....(for no real reason) and we do noot belive the lies of the media...that we are forced fed upon. I then read him a buinch of my poems...and many of them were ro everyone...and included the MUSLIMS...into society,and didnt put them down in any way...While a mentioned that any fundamentalist...of any religion...were bad. ANd That muslims are being scapegoated now, as the JEWS were in the Hitler era...BUSH learned a lot from Hitelrs tactics. We dicussed Isreal, Lebanon, Syrian, the HALLOCAUST, Bin Laden.....etc etc, and we were both on the same page. He said he flies often, but rarely talks to people int the air port..Becuase he is a muslim...he doenst want to get into heavy conversations..where he has to defend his people and his belifes...but vgery quickly, he saw he wouldnt have to engaged in apologetics. It was an amazing few hours....and wish he lived in the metro area, because we were instant freinds.
THE FOOD ON LUFTHANSA USED TO BE GOOD. NOW IT IS ON THE PAR OF FRZEN "BANQUET" BRAND DINNERS. FEH.....tHE MUNICH AIRPORT IS ABOUT 8 TIMES THE SIZE IT WAS IN THE EARLY NINETIES.....I COLD HAVE GOTTEN LOST.....BUT i DIDNT. IT WAS LIKE GOING TO A LARGE BERGEN COUNTY SHOPPING MALL, WHERE THE PARKING LOTS HAS BEEN REPLACED BY PLANES TO ALL OVER THE WORLD......
i STILL HAVE JET LAG, AND MY EYES ARE CLOUDY AND TIRED....TOMORROW WE LEAVE FOR TURKEY, A 4 DAY TRIP THRU HUNGARY,ROMANIA,BULGARIA, AND THEN TURKEY.....FIRST TO ISTANBUL TO SHOP AT THE BIG BAAZZAR, THEN ON TO ANTALYA, THE TURKISH RIVEREA ON THE MEDITERRANEAN....WHERE SUSANS SON WILL TAKE THERAPHY WITH THE DOLPHINS...CHECK "YOU TUBE" FOR DOLPHIN THERAPY" SHE HOW THESE MAGINIFICENT ANIMALS HELP CHILDREN AWAKE THEIRBRAIN TO THEIR POTENTIAL...HE HAS A UNDIAGNOSED PROBLEM......THAT HTYE THINK MIGHT BE HELPED BY THE DOLPHINS......YOU CAN ALSO GOOGLE DOLPHIN THERAPY AND FIND OUT MORE ABOUT IT.THERE IS NO SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH THAT PROVES IT WORKS....BUT SEEING IS BELIEIVNG.....IT HELPS!!

ONE LAST COMMENT FOR TODAY......THE FOOD COURT AT THE "WEST END" MALL IN BUDAPEST...(YES...ITS SPELLED IN ENGLISH" HAS AN INCCREDIBLE SELECTION OF FRESH FOOD....BETTER THAN MOST GOURMET RESTARUANTS...AND I WILL TRY TO CREAT MANY OF THESE DELICACIES WHEN I GET HOME.i FORGOT MY CAMERA,OTHER WISE, THERE WOULD BE PIX NOW TO MAKE YOU DROOL
