The following is a quick synopsis of what Ground HOG DAY would be like if it was a HAssidic Holiday. It is an abstract, cartoon type concept.....it is not written to be serious, but silly. A few years ago , I didnt a long version with fine details...but didnt have the enrgy this morning..
This group traces its origin to the DIASPORA, when a ground hog lead a group out of the wilderness to saftey in the wilds of HUNGRY, and protected them from the dangerous wild boars....that are not kosher.The name of their schul(temple) is Temple Beth MISHAGOSs
· Now there will be 6 more weeks of WInter...in BRooklyn..This small group that prays to the Ground Hog is not well known....They pray at night,,,,when others are not around....They have a Picture of the GRAND GROUND HOG, who wears a black hat, has typical payes(hair curls) and wears a black coat
... Then men, with prayer book in hands, pray.....while the women, prepare pickeled herring and lox ,cream cheese and bagels, health salad, and tea in old SAMOVARS.When the ground hog comes out, the men, start praying and swaying back and forth very . The Ground hog looks around at the men...when he finally goes back into ...the hole, the men all shout in unision "AMEN: and now we eat...
I just heard the coming attraction of TONIGHTS OPRAH show, she is interviewing children of the kidnappers of Elizabeth SMART......and how their mother cooked and served the kids pet rabbit......REALLY, ISNT THIS REALLY TOO MUCH FOR TV...WHAT WILL THE TV AUDIENCE GET OUT OF THIS..ITS UPSETTING, NOT ENTERTAINING, NOT A LEARNING SITUATION..WE ALREADY NOW PEOPLE ARE CRAZY......I THINK THIS IS NOT AN OPRAH QUALITY SHOW..... and upsetting...I LIKE OPRAH....but who cares!!!!
