SUNDAY MORNING, AFTER THE AUCTION DISASTER OF THE PRIOR NIGHT, I WOKE UP.. OF COURSE DEPRESSED, BUT IN PAIN. MY KNEE HURT AND FELT SWOLLEN, AND MY HIP ALSO HURT. I HAD DIFFICULTY IN WALKING..SCHLEPPING SLOWLY, I WENT FOR COFEE AND BAGLES DOWN THE STREET.
THIS KNEE AND HIP THINK HAPPENS A FEW TIMES A YEAR, AND DISAPPEARS AS SUDDENLY AS IT APPEARS. i GET DEPRESSED THIS TIME OF THE YEAR...EVERY YEAR....AND AS TIME GOES ON, THE DEPRESSION THIS TIME OF THE YEAR GETS WORSE. WHEN TEH LEAVES FALL OFF THE TREES, AND LITTER THE GROUND.....AND ALL THE COLORFUL FOILAGE DISAPPEARS, I BEGIN TO WONDER, IF I WILL BE AROUND TO SEE THE REBRITH OF SPRING....SO I GET MELODRAMATIC, BUT REALISTIC, ESPECIALLY THAT I ALREADY HAVE LIVED LONGER THAN MY FATHER...BY 4 YEARS. ALTHOUGH i CANT SEE THE BAR CODE ON MY ASS WITH THE EXPERATION CODE, NO ONE REALLY KNOWS WHEN THEIR TIME IS UP.
i STILL DONT TAKE GERITOL....IF THEY STILL MAKE THAT STUFF? iF THEY DO STILL MAKE IT, THEY SHOULD ADD VIAGRA TO THE SYRUP....AND LUCKILY......THAT IS ONE DRUG i DO NOT NEED YET. Another shitty Auction and rain store, and Fire DEPT CAME AGAIN
What a shitty day. Started when the assholes from PSEG came to put on the gas, which they were supposed to do yesterday....and they didnt do it right. A oung guy came at 8 in the morning.....and did someting that caused the filters to burn..which set off the fire alarm...which brought the entiure HOHOKUS FIRE Dept......
My stomach was in my mouth..I figured another auction ruined by the building .....THe fire deprtment guys were very nice and helpful They called the ALARM guy ED, who came right down and did what ever was needed...at least temporaily, He then mentioned that the lights were flickering....in the building...He inspected the outsdie electric poles. and noticed there were loose wires on the pole....which come nto the building..So I caled PSEG, and eventually someone called a few hours later asking questions....and a real person came about 2 afters after that..a guy with a shitty attiutde...but I remained calm He wanted to know which pole and what wire and what time our elctrician noticed it...etc. I couldnt answer these questions and he was very nasty and annoyed.
Mean while we were understaffed.....geting ready for the auctions. More calls than last time, but the auction was the same shit. The same people who sit with the fingers p their ass and dont bid.
Then after the auction, they try to buy the items for much less that I asked for an opening bud..and get nasty when they cant get it....I offered a fabulous rug for almost nothing.....750 for a KERMAN PERSIAN RUG.worth thousands.....they wouldnt bud then after the auction, they offered 500. and when I said no....why didnt htye bid during the auctio they just said KEEP THE RUG...nice, clean and persian 9x12
There were quite a few laughs during the auction...but NO MONEY. But that is the way it goes....The people do not want good things...they want 40.00 crap...Auction people either want garbage or great things for free. If they do want something great...they want to go to Sotherbys.

i HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT NATIVE AMERICANS
TONIGHT, I made another versian of polenta, italian corn meal..served in the form of a pie, a casserole, a side dish, a main dish...and eventually i will develope some that can be deserts....I am thinking of MARZIPAN POLENTA>>>anyway, the brand name on the BAG is INDIAN HEAD... That is the brand..and there is a drswing of a proud INDIAN CHief, with his eagle feathers stickin gup straight, as if they were dipped in Viagra.
For those of you who do know know it, I have always had great respect for NAtive American,,,,,even before I knew why, I was alwasy on there side. When My uncle Archy, used to hide from my AUnt BECKY, he would lock himself in a room and watch TV....COWBOYS and INDIANS... He was alwasy yelling and shouting and getting emotinally involved..SITTING at the edge of his chair.....well, i thought he was disturbed (anyone married to Aunt Becky would have to be disturbed, if not before marriage, then definatley after being married to her for 30 years....(at that time). I couldnt understand why they were always after the INDIANS...I looked at it..that the settlers stole the INDIAns land and wouldnt give it back..why shouldnt they attack the white folK?
They wre always being called savages, but eventually when I grew up and learned more about their beliefs...THE GREAT SPIRIT,....they asked for forgiveness for killing animals that they would eat, and use for survival. They only killed enough for what they needed. They conserved nature. They spopke to the souls of the animals that they hunted. They respected their women and children. They mostly were good spiritual people. Of course some tribes were more warlike than others.... and all of use have a dark side now and then.
Eventually, they most most of their land, to the US Government, the railroads....et all. THye were massacred, poinsoned and given blankets with smallpox germs in it to decimate their numbers. They were sold guns to kill each other, and given alcohol so they would become alcoholics.. They didnt understand genetics exactly, but the white man knew INDIANS were more pron to alcoholism than other groups.
Now on the reservation, they languish.. Once a PROUD NATION.......they suffered a true holocaust, by the hands of the UNITED STATES Government,, who claims to be a Democracy, with liberty and justice for all. What a load of crap. I am not AntiAmerican, but not proud of what we did to people. We literally used the CHINESE as slaves to build our railroads, We murdered most of our Native Americans, and hunted the boffalo to near extinction, we put Japanese American Citizens in concentration camps during the 2nd world war..and confiscated all of their property,we built the planations in the SOUTH on the backs of the balck men, who were slaves...had no freedom at all, and were treated worse than the barnyard animals..how many hundreds of thousands were litteraly worked to death? And later in the 1950s, black people were used in the south for experiments on Syphliss.....and we can go on to the presetn day....with DOnt ASK DONT TELL.....The freedom we talk about is very abstract....very, and non existence in many circles.
But lets get back to the INDIANS... Making polenta, I couldnt help think of the name of the brand of cornmeal I was ususingl.INDIAN HEAD... now what if it wasnt an INDIAN, but someone else. Lets say a JEWISH PErson... WOuld they CALL the corn meal JEW HEAD..and he owuld be wearing a cute little yarmulka and have side curls??? Or if it were a NEGRO, a black man or womans head and it might be called BLACK HEad, but that is the name we use for a pimple......If it were a CHINESE Person, would they call it CHINA HEAD, ...or JAP HEAD, or.......
If they had a BASEBALL time and didnt call it by an INDIAN NAME, if it might have been called the Washington YELLOW SKINS, or JEW SKINS, or BLOACK SKINS??? or the BOSTON JEW SOCKS, or Black or YELLOW SOCKS,....and in front of CIGAR STORES, instead of having a Hand carved INDIAN....they had a hand carved HASSIDIC with a black hat and blakc coat and sidecurls...holding a bunch of caigars...that would have been a hoot....
Back to the BASEBALL TEAm, INstead of the BRAVES....which if the team might have
been called the "Balabusters" (homemakers) or the BO)-vants (big muscular guys) or theCincinati Yentas........or the Cincinati HOMEBOYS.......etcetc
SPEAKING OF POLENTA.. made it a very different way tonight...too a big mixing bowl. addeda can of diced tomatoes and a can of hot water, a chopped onion, a little green scallion, garlic powder,salt pepper, chilli powder, a few teaspoons of Chipolite sauce....stirred. let sit for 5 min, then microwaved for about 15 min....took it out and it was nice and thick. added half a jar of parmigiana cheese...cooked it in the oven for 5 min more..then poured into a baking dish...poured salsa on top and baked it for 30 min......(I added some extra vergin olive oilbefore baking"
Then put it in the frigde after cooling.. To serve...well, you can slice it and heat it up, in micro wave, you can fry it... adding cheese and sauce later... You can put all different kinds of sauces..on it....try a white one , not only red....Try a Mexican mole sauce.....(with chocolate...in it ..its great)
You can serve it as a main course..with veggies and salad or as a side dish...
Polenta....is so versitile. You can add meat, fish, poultry, veggies... if you dont make it spicey you can add fruit(this is an invention I am working on) as a dessert.

ONE OF THE FUNNIEST IS THE USE OF THE WORD"AMAZING" IN MOST CASES, IT IS AMAZING THAT THE ITEM WASNT THROWN IN THE DUMPSTER, INSTEAD THEY PUT IT ON CRAIGS LIST...THE BEST ONE EVER, ABOUT A YEAR AGO...WAS AN "AMAZING" REDISH/ORANGE LEATHERETTE(PLASTIC) SOFA. iT WAS RIPPED IN TWO PLACES, QUITE BADLY..YOU COULD SEE THE WHITE STUFFING COMING OUT....AND, IT WAS SO FILTY, YOU COULD SEE CAKED UP FOOD AND "STUFF" ON IT. tHE PERSON LISTING IT, SAID IT NEEDED A LITTLE UPHOLSTERING.....OTHER WISE IN GOOD CONDITION...I WROTE AND ASK IF SHE WAS BLIND....AND HOW SHE COULD, WITH A CLEAR CONSCIENCE PUT SUCH A FILTHY ITEM ON CRAIGS LIST....THAT WAS DISGUSTING....I THOUGHT I SAW COCKROACHES WITH SIGNED THAT SAID, BOYCOTT THIS SOFA" aLTHOUGH i AM BEING SILLY, I AM TELLING THE TRUTH.
i WENT TO LOOK AT A PERFECT CONDITION CEDAR CHEST. tHE PHOTOS LOOKED GREAT..ON ALL SIDES. tHE SELLER LEFT THE TOP OPEN SO WE COULD SEE THE PERFECT INTERIOR...BUT WHEN WE GOT THERE...THE TOP WAS BURNED BY AN IRON....AND THE IMPRESSION OF THE IRON WAS BURNED INTO IT IN BLACK. tHE MAN SAID..WELL IT NEEDS A LITTLE REFINISHING..YOU CAN REFINISH IT WITH A GALLON OF GAS AND A MATCH.

The Ending of a flying saucer with a 6 year old in it..
I personally think tha the father or parents somehow planned th scam.....what we all watched today....and were on pins and needles....and brought to tears..as we watch a balloon, fly 50 miles....supposedly with a child beneath. The nation was frozen with fear of what might have happened to this child.
I was hoping all the while it was a scam, or a mistake....and after learning the parents were twice on TV reality shows....I think that this is the case. Maybe it was publicty for his invention.....the balloon flying saucer really could travel...faster than a regular balloon... so this is how he will market it....then they might go on talk shows about this .....
ANYWAY.....regarless, no 6 year old child was scared to death, or frozen to death..or was injured.. My personal prayer was answered.

A DANISH VIEW ON SOCIALIZED MED
(i MET THIS PERSON ON AOL) Socialized health care... I do not know any other kind of, I have nothing but good things to say about it. An example of it: My Mum who is is 70 plus, fell on steps while getting a newspaper from downstairs. Father called a taxi as she seemed to be well enough to travel to the ER in a taxi, there was a small amount of blood in her hair and a scratch on her arm.
Arm was bandaged, no broken bone, a few stitches were put onto the small cut on her head. She was kept overnight.
The following day a hospital taxi took her home at no cost. Few days later a check of 12 euros arrived from the taxi company, that was the amount my father had paid to go to the ER.
Total cost euro 0.00.
Another example: I was practicing my water skiing in Finland few years ago, I fell and felt a slight pain on my ankle,
on a way back I went to the ER for x-rays, nothing was broken, an ACE bandage was put on.
Total cost: euro 6.00, my father was ever so angry, he said they made me pay because I was living in the UK at that time. Them Brits and the EU....
Maybe the USA , where every year 30.000 persons die because they have no access of any healthcare, should take a note of my little stories. The other huge number is patients, reported of being over 100.000, dying in hospitals due to inadequate care, early discharges, med errors, treatments discontinued due to their health insurance running out, or no treatments were started if there was no enough money to cover the hospital stay.
These are few of my thoughts on the issue.
