What a shitty day. Started when the assholes from PSEG came to put on the gas, which they were supposed to do yesterday....and they didnt do it right. A oung guy came at 8 in the morning.....and did someting that caused the filters to burn..which set off the fire alarm...which brought the entiure HOHOKUS FIRE Dept......
My stomach was in my mouth..I figured another auction ruined by the building .....THe fire deprtment guys were very nice and helpful They called the ALARM guy ED, who came right down and did what ever was needed...at least temporaily, He then mentioned that the lights were flickering....in the building...He inspected the outsdie electric poles. and noticed there were loose wires on the pole....which come nto the building..So I caled PSEG, and eventually someone called a few hours later asking questions....and a real person came about 2 afters after that..a guy with a shitty attiutde...but I remained calm He wanted to know which pole and what wire and what time our elctrician noticed it...etc. I couldnt answer these questions and he was very nasty and annoyed.
Mean while we were understaffed.....geting ready for the auctions. More calls than last time, but the auction was the same shit. The same people who sit with the fingers p their ass and dont bid.
Then after the auction, they try to buy the items for much less that I asked for an opening bud..and get nasty when they cant get it....I offered a fabulous rug for almost nothing.....750 for a KERMAN PERSIAN RUG.worth thousands.....they wouldnt bud then after the auction, they offered 500. and when I said no....why didnt htye bid during the auctio they just said KEEP THE RUG...nice, clean and persian 9x12
There were quite a few laughs during the auction...but NO MONEY. But that is the way it goes....The people do not want good things...they want 40.00 crap...Auction people either want garbage or great things for free. If they do want something great...they want to go to Sotherbys.
