A really Lousy day.....kvetch kvetch

A customer who owed me 9000 came in and continued playing games with me....about conditons, taxes, passports, packing, crating, and pressure to have things done....without warning...like packing a huge item and repholstering chairs in 2 says....and of course..no warning...she had three weeks to pay me,,,,but turns up today....and insisted tht it had to be done in two days......and also insulted me...that she wouldnt pay until the chairs were uphosltered...she didnt trust me....
well, crooks do not trust other people....so that was clear. She then kept bargaining three weeks after the deal was made. We finally made the deal.....and i was the looser, but sometime one must use descretion....I would rather have her offer than the chairs.....
she paid in cash..and was insulted that i checked checked each and every 100 dollar bill....and there were a pile of them. Luckily they were all good....but I explained that it wasnt that I didnt trust her, but she had no way of knowing if they were good or not..you see. they are now taking real 5.00 bills, dipping them in acid...and reprinting them over with 100 images.....the way to detect this wis by checking the watermark....if a face of lincoln comes up its fake.
Simultaenously....another customer came in for 10,000 dollar refund. She bopught a fabulous antique DR set...someone told her we cheated her and it was a repro....which it was not!!!! It was a fabulous carved set c 1900-1910 in mint condition....which we paid 7000 dollars...and we sold it for 9500. She belived who ever told her..so we gave her a refund...but now.....i am starting a lawsuit of defamation of character.....and will supeona whoever told her that..and get aan appraiser from Sotherbys or Christies to back us up. My stomach was in a knot all day.
We did taken in another 1200 bucks, but that hardly makes up loosing 10k with tax...and getting insulted to boot. WE DO NOT CHEAT PEOPLE.. WE STAND BEHIND WAHT WE SELL......AND THAT IS WHY IT IS MORE UPSETTING THAN JUST THE MONEY.
